At the end of July, the European Commission introduced the bill AMLD6 (the sixth EU anti-money laundering directive).
The draft of the European Council was also presented earlier.
It is planned that the European Parliament will consider the initiative in the fall.
If adopted, it will take time to implement.
I admit that mandatory application will be no earlier than 23, and possibly 24 years.
In addition, the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament previously agreed on the provisions of the law on the regulation of cryptocurrencies – MiCA. Now it needs official approval.
Uniform requirements, documentation and reporting to a single body should have a positive impact on the standardization of processes.
We will observe the development of events, but the submitted documents can be studied now.
